The brief
Part of our brief was to keep Deliveroo in the news all year round.
The strategy
August was drawing to a close — and sun worshippers were all clambering to the beach to catch the last rays before Autumn took hold — so we wanted to run a fun trial that would take us into the front of the papers and drive mass awareness.
The idea
We trialled jet ski deliveries off the South Coast. Quite literally, delivering food to beach-goers via jet skis on Bournemouth beach.
The results
The coverage came in waves, with our images hitting METRO, The i, City A.M. and Daily Record in print, before METRO (again), Daily Express, Mail Online, The Sun and Daily Star got in on the action. With media requests coming in from Hong Kong and the Netherlands, it truly went global.
